ALP Academy waiting list: privacy notice

This notice explains how we use the details you give us when you join the ALP Academy waiting list. It covers the waiting list only.
Who we are

What we collect
Your first name and email address. If you choose to answer: your auction experience, when you might next bid, your main strategy, your usual funding route and how you heard about us. If you arrive from one of our links, we also record which link brought you to the page.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To run the waiting list and tell you when places open, because you asked us to (steps taken at your request before a possible contract).
To shape the course and understand which of our channels are useful, from your optional answers and the link you arrived from (our legitimate interests; you can leave the optional questions blank).
To send occasional ALP emails about auction legal packs and due diligence, only if you tick the box (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us).
Who handles it for us
Squarespace hosts our website and the form, and stores your submission. Google reCAPTCHA protects the form from spam and processes technical information about your visit, such as your IP address and browser, for that purpose. We use Clio Grow to manage our contacts and to send the emails you have asked for. These providers act on our instructions. Some of them process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
Until the course opens and for 12 months afterwards, then we delete it, unless you join the course or have opted in to our emails, in which case we keep your details until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
